I'm currently laying on the couch with Evie, watching Book of Mormon movies as she snuggles me and strokes my face(one of her little comfort quirks) and she says to me, "What dat Mama?" "It's a zit." I say. "I see zit, Mama?" She proceeds to sit up and look at my cheek and says, "Ohhh." Then touches another one. "And dat one. And dat one. And dat one." Then starts looking at my other cheek. "Anudder one?" "And dat one. And dat one."

Oy! The skin of a pregnant woman. I can't help but laugh tho. Evie says the funniest things these days.

Oh man...it's been a long time since I've set foot on this ol' blog.

But guess who might be making a come back?!

Thanks to Blogger for finally getting an iPhone app that is is simple and quick to use, I'll prob manage a small post pretty regularly.

Thinking about playing catch up totally stresses me out so I prob won't do that...but I will go back to addressing the fact that I am pregnant once again.

About 11 weeks ago we found out what it is...

A GIRL!

We're so happy to have two sisters close in age. It's perfect in my opinion. Who wouldn't want a built in best friend? Evie is so excited and loves "Baby Sister" so much already.

So far, all is well and mama and Baby Sister are healthy.

Baby Sister already wants out. I know she's dying to meet Big Sister and is ready to make herself known. She's wild and super strong and is constantly moving and kicking. She's gonna be a dancer like Evie and is apparently already just as flexible.

Lately I've been exploring some video apps on my iphone. I was pretty happy with the way this one turned out. I love that it captures Evie's fun loving personality and documents the little every day moments that are easy to forget down the road.

I'm not ready for my baby to grow up. It's heart warming and wrenching at the same time. But inevitable, none the less. So I'm trying to bottle up all the memories I can.

I've been getting anxious for summer to end and fall to begin. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. But looking back on pictures from last weekend's visit to the beach I know I am really going to miss Summer. Luckily enough, we will be visiting our favorite beach(Newport beach in CA) before fall officially begins and after the selling season is over. I can't wait!

Day Festivities:

Our ward had a pancake breakfast the morning of the fourth, followed by a bike parade for the children. I caught wind of the parade the day before at church so I threw together Evie's trike decorations Sunday night with stuff I had on hand. We were both pretty pleased with the turn out. My favorite part was the denim pendants I made from old jean scraps...and those straggling cans. I love it when light bulbs go off in my head;)

Night Festivities:

That evening, Boyd got off of work early and we went out to Kemah where we had dinner with our selling family at T Bone Toms (featured on Diners Drive-Inns & Dives...One of my favorite shows). It was pretty good. Fun atmosphere. Best sausage I've had and that's saying a lot cuz I rarely eat sausage! After dinner we walked over to the Kemah boardwalk to watch the fireworks. We intended on riding a few rides but after how crowded it was, we not only didn't do that, but nearly walked away without seeing fireworks due to a big building obstructing our view. On our way back to the car, we luckily landed a spot with a great view of the fireworks and it was a great ending to our night. I love making memories in this big state with my little family. Evie is at such a fun age to be doing these kinds of things. She loved the fireworks...almost as much as she loved that cotton candy!

I'm blessed to live in this land of the free!

We had a lovely Father's Day this year. Boyd deserves everything this day is celebrated for. He's truly an amazing father. Sweet, hard working, patient and fun. Evelyn is one lucky girl! And she knows it. She loves her dada very much. (She even blesses him in her prayers...all on her own.)

Oh, and I had to include a picture of our Father's Day meal because Boyd described the day as "Mmm, mmm, mmm, yummy!"

This weekend we made a little day trip to the beach in Gavelston. It's about a 45 min. drive from Houston. It was such a nice treat. Evie LOVED it. (Ps. Doesn't she look so grown up in these pictures?) We will definitely be going back.

Today we met Sister Mandi and kids at The Woodlands Waterway District. She was telling me about her amazing experience there earlier this week and I was so excited to check it out.

We grabbed lunch at the Hubbell & Hudson Market and checked out all the fun goodies they had. We went on and on strolling and talking about how we loved the market and how good it felt to be in there and how we wished it could be our regular place of shopping.

We took our lunch down to the splash pad just a few steps away and had a picnic while watching the kids play in the water. Our sandwiches were phenomenal. I chose the chicken goat cheese sandwich with carmelized onions, roasted red peppers and walnuts, and let me tell you...that sandwich will be frequenting my dreams!

It was such a lovely time with even lovelier company.

Here's a few snippets of my place here in Houston. The apartments come furnished so it's important to me that I put in as many personal touches as I can while still being minimal.

Left: Some Anthropologie zinc letter look-alikes I made for about $7 total.

Top: An awesome thrifted cross stitch that was meant to be a gift but never got mailed out...Sorry CoCo (I'm attached now.) Plus some thrifted jars with giant safety pins and Billy Bob flowers (Thanks Angela-they're still being loved.) Plus an Ikea plant.

Bottom: A cross stitch my mom made when she was young. Plus a vintage owl, either terracotta or ceramic, that belonged to my late grandma. I think we had a lot in common. Wish I could have really known her! Plus another Ikea plant and pinch pot that holds a yarn puff instead of salt;)

Top: Yarn puff flowers I made and put in my two favorite jars, which were 25 cents each.

Middle: Books and some frames acting as book ends.

Bottom: A scrabble art piece I made Boyd for Valentines day one year.

Right: Ikea succulents in some pretty metal vases. (Ikea has the cheapest succulents I've been able to find- $2.99 each.)

There's just something about a great vintage piece that makes me feel so right.

It's been far too long since I've been to an estate sale...until this morning, that it. I came home with this satchel(satchel just sounds so much better than purse, no?). It's leather is perfectly soft and worn and the color can take me from summer to winter. I love it. It's the perfect size with the perfect number of pockets and the $4 price tag had me gleaming. I thought this scarf, found at an estate sale here in Houston, last summer was the perfect touch.

Yesterday Melissa and I took the girls and Grandma Judy (who is in town for a few days) to The City Centre here in Houston. This is one of my favorite spots because it's a great little upscale area with a few yummy restaurants and a couple of fun shops. In the center of everything is a grassy area where people let their kids run wild. It's a happy medium for adults and kids.

After shopping at Anthropologie we had dinner at Ruggles Grill, followed by a few rounds of Ring Around the Rosie.

We built up a big appetite for dessert and found ourselves in a dilemma when trying to decide between frozen yogurt at Red Mango or cupcakes at Sweet.

Cupcakes won. And I'm so glad we decided to go because we hadn't ever been and the shop was so adorable. You could say I was obsessed with it.

Every detail was perfect down to the cute handwriting on the chalkboard wall.

And did you see those Macarons??? I have seen pictures of these all over the place and every time my mouth waters. I've wanted to try them for the longest time but had no idea where to find them. Well let me tell you, they are just as appealing to the taste buds as they are to the eye. I may or may not have eaten four of them before we left the shop(with my two cupcakes).

Oh, and my cupcakes? Best ever.

I wouldn't consider myself a huge cupcake fan. I don't particularly like cake because I don't care for the texture. But these cupcakes were dense like I prefer with just the right amount of frosting.

I highly recommend the Vanilla Bean Chocolate and the Dulce De Leche!

We made a surprise visit home last week and surprised my mom and sisters for Mother's Day. It was great! They had no idea we were coming.

While we were there we had Auntie Hils do our hair. She is seriously so good! I feel so refreshed and I feel like Evie has her sassy hair back to fit her sassy personality.

If you or your little girl(or husband or son for that matter;) is in need of a hair cut/ color job, go down to Hair-Do Salon in Dana Park in Mesa and book an appointment with Hilary Worthen. You won't regret it.

EASTER 2011

This year Easter was a lot of fun. However, if I'm being honest, I will say, it wasn't the most spiritual. And that made me really sad. I sure was missing the Easter Pageant this year. I didn't feel as fulfilled without it. Plus, when you have an 18 month old running around at church it's hard to feel completely uplifted. Luckily, on the 45 minute drive to and from Mandi's house we listend to the Lamb Of God by Rob Garnder, which was truly amazing and that made up for a lot.

So let's begin with the festivities that happened the day before Easter.

I made little bunny sacks on a whim with some materials I had on hand to deliver to Evie's friends here at the apartments.

And inside were these adorably delicious goodies.

And who else to deliver these Easter treats but the Easter Bunny herself.

I showed Evie what she looked like in the mirror and she loved it! She kept looking at herself and smiling and twirling. But even more than that, she loved carrying around her basket of goodies. She didn't so much love actually giving them away though;)

She was so adorable walking down the halls in her little get-up and knocking on the doors. It was hard not to eat her up.

Church came real early Sunday morning and we had to wake the princess up. She went straight to her little basket of eggs. Neve rmind the giant basket of toys.

I attempted to make bunny pancakes for breakfast and failed mostly. One out of about ten worked though and that's all we needed.

She loved it.

Next it was off to church and my girl looked so precious in her Easter outfit.

I made her headband and corsage and Grandma Judy and the Bead Diva made her bracelet.

After church we went out to Mandi's house and had a delectable Steak Brian dinner followed by an Easter egg hunt. Evie knew just what to do. She loved carrying her basket and putting the eggs in.

The kids had so much fun and we were so happy we got to spend Easter with the Collins crew.

Thank you to those who helped me in my decision making. This little miss is going to be getting bangs again. But not until we visit home and can have the one and only Auntie Hils do it. So for a bit longer we will enjoy them this way.

We made it to Houston! It's been nearly two weeks and I finally feel like we're adjusting. It's been pretty rough. For me, Evie and BigBoy(you don't wanna know)! But we're at a good place now.

Evie is so happy and finally on a good schedule. She has lots of friends out here and is having so much fun. She has gotten so independent and seems so mature. She's hilarious. Every thing she does is noteworthy to me. She keeps me entertained all day and I often look at her and think, "You just couldn't get any cuter." Like today, when we were taking these pictures and she picked a flower and put the petals in the trunk of her trike. Or how she found some toy animals that we brought along, that she has never played with before and every day she drags out the trash can(with a lid) and sets them on top, like it's a stage. She is really loving those things right now. She knows all the sounds they make. She's my little buddy and I adore her. She has her naughty moments though. (Just ask Jaycee.)

Boyd has been doing awesome. He's selling his heart out. We're very impressed with his hard work. (Always are...)

The apartment has it's pros and cons. I've been trying to make it as homey as possible since this is the only home we have now. It feels weird. Not quite like my home. But I'll post some pictures of the place soon.

We miss our friends and family but are so happy to have the ones we have here. (Including Mandi and her family this year!)

The next 5 months are going to be an adventure! And we're going to make the most of it.

We've been super busy around here, getting ready for our move to Texas. Packing up the house has pretty much sucked...bad. And all our last minute errand runs and doctor appointments have been hectic, but I'm very happy to report that Evie and I have both received great news about our health so I can't complain. Tomorrow will conclude the last of the items on my to-do list and then it will be all about soaking up the last of our time with family and friends before we leave on Saturday evening.

We're sad to go but we can't wait to see our main man and celebrate his birthday that we sadly had to miss yesterday. We have been missin him and are so proud of all his hard work.

These two are two peas in a pod. They're at the age where they really play together and communicate with one another. I love it. Evie couldn't have been blessed with a better best friend. It's going to be so hard to split up the double trouble team for 6 months when we go back to Houston to sell Pest Control. My heart can barely take it. Our days are numbered and it's starting to hit me.

Lots going on around here...if I'm not a better blogger before we leave, at least I know I will be after we get there so I can keep the family updated.

Today's post was actually supposed to feature our entire weekend of Valentine apparel...three days worth. I took all but one day of Evie on my camera that only uploads to my mac. But as luck would have it, the charge cord to my mac broke and now my computer is dead and I can't upload my pictures onto it. So now I'm stuck with this compaq and the pics I took of her on Saturday with my phone.

My sister in law, the Bead Diva herself, made this adorable necklace for Evie and I planned three different outfits around it. Don't you love it?! Evie was having fun with BigBoy when I was trying to get a pic of her outfit. Thought these were too cute not to share.

Sometimes I get really annoyed with BigBoy. Especially ever since I had Evie. He begs for food all the time now and is a scavenger around Evie whenever she's eating.

Moments like the ones pictured make me really sad for all the times I yell at him and tell him to get lost. He's such a good dog and so good with Evie. I really do love that enormous hairy lug! And so does Evie. Any time she hears him bark her eyes light up as she says, "Bih-Bohhh".

The last couple days I've been working on some special projects for a very special occasion.

Can you guess where we're going??

That's right, we're going to Disneyland. In just a matter of minutes actually.

We're going to the happiest place on earth to 1. celebrate our five year anniversary and 2. to have a last hoorah with the whole family before my baby sister leaves for China.

We're so excited. Evie definitely knows something fun is about to go down. I asked her if she wanted to go to Disneyland and she excitedly screamed yes.

Anyway, I've been feeling crafty lately and wanted to make some special D-Land apparel for my baby.

Now, I am most definitely a beginner sewer, so there are LOTS of imperfections, but I'm willing to let you see them. Hopefully over time, as I continue to sew, you will see how much I am improving.

This one was super easy. I just hand stitched some felt onto an old shirt and glued on a felt bow that I made.

On this one, I painted a navy blue Mickey with some fabric paint onto an Old Navy tee that I got for $5. It has a bit of a distressed look.

This last one was originally going to be the only one I made until I got daring. I like it the best because it took the most effort. That collar was WAY harder to make than I expected. And sewing in a circle isn't all that easy either. I got the little black tee from Target for $2.50.

So there you have it. I spent a total of $10.50 on all three shirts.

Next time you see these, they will be on my Evie girl, while basking in the gloriousness of Disneyland. I'll be sure to share lots of pics!

Happy ❺ years to us!!

It's been complete and utter bliss since the day we laid eyes on each other...

NOT!

Let's get real, folks.

Marriage has been, probably, one of the biggest challenges I've ever experienced. It has shown me lots of arguments, a few fights, a bit of heart ache and plenty of tears.

While is hasn't been complete and utter bliss, it has definitely had it's countless, blissful moments.

It has been within these last five years that I have grown into a woman that I am proud to be. I've learned more than I ever thought I needed to know, laughed harder than any stomach should handle, experienced more happiness than I ever knew existed and loved more than I knew my heart was capable.

And it's all because of this man I call my husband.

It's been a great journey. We've made it to this milestone of half a decade together. And I can full- heartedly say that I look forward to all the years to come.

Neither of us are perfect. But we are perfect for each other.

I am so blessed.

I've been meaning to share some great news with all of you...Let me start from the beginning.

Back in June I wrote a letter to Bosch. I was basically begging for a new small kitchen machine since mine was breaking. After sending a rather dramatic and quite hilarious email(if I do say so myself) I became friends with a couple different people down at the company. One guy in particular, named Jason. Jason is pretty awesome. He and I emailed back and forth a few times until I was told that they didn't have any extra machines in stock but that they would like to send me their Tassimo, a hot drink maker. Now, I'm not one to turn down free stuff, so I graciously accepted. We decided to wait until I returned home to AZ from TX to have it shipped. Fast forward to about Oct./Nov. when I received my Tassimo in the mail. It was great. I loved it. I made lots of delicious mugs of hot chocolate with it. (My favorite-my own salted caramel hot chocolate recipe.) End of story. Well, not long after, I received another email from Jason telling me that they were about to get a new shipment of kitchen machines and one of them was reserved for me. Say wha???? To say I was excited would be an understatement. They shipped it out and I got it at the beginning of December. It was like the best early Christmas present ever. So awesome. I still am excited as I sit here and tell you about it. I love it so much. It's beautiful and sleek and really gets the job done.

Anywho, I'm sure you're all wondering what exactly my original email consisted of, so I'll share it. Let's begin with the photos I sent:

Subject: HELP! my bosch is breaking.

Dear BOSCH,

I have been a long time user of your small kitchen machine BOSCH. I grew up with one in my home and when I got married four and a half years ago, I took over my husband's. I use it for various recipes, however, my favorite thing to use it for is to make cookies. I love trying new cookie recipes. In fact, I just tried a cookie recipe tonight that called for ice cream.(They were delicious, by the way.)

My baby girl just turned 7 months last week and since she was about 3 months old, I started sticking her in a bumbo chair and putting her on the counter next to me so she could watch me bake. It's our favorite thing to do together. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be able to do it for much longer, seeing how our small kitchen machine BOSCH is on the fritz. It gets slower and louder with each batch of cookies I make, trying with all it's might to hang in there, but alas, I know it's death is quickly approaching. I can't tell you how much the thought of not making cookies in my BOSCH with my sweet little Evelyn saddens me. I could weep, I tell you! Some would say, "Just make cookies the old fashioned way." Nay, I say! Making cookies without a BOSCH is not worth making cookies at all! And what is furthermore haunting about this whole situation is the fact that my husband just gifted me with a pair of brand new cookie paddles for Christmas,(upon my request) which as you know, are not exactly "inexpensive".

Now, you're probably wondering why I've come to you with such heart wrenching woes... Well, here's the deal. I can't afford to buy a new BOSCH. Soooo, I was hoping that out of the kindness in your big, red, blood-pumping heart, you would be so inclined to give me one. (Cue: eye batting and captivating grin.) It would save the bonds of mother and daughter and also make us shout with jubilation. Oh, and it would make the hubby very happy as well, because you see, he too loves to try new cookie recipes that are delicious to the taste. (And a cookie made in the BOSCH is nothing short of that!) And if it is not enough to save a mother/daughter bond, or make a young family of three delightfully joyful, than I shall bribe you by informing you that if you were to send me a brand new, sparkling(like Evelyn's eyes) small kitchen machine BOSCH, then I would post about it on my blog, writing of how wonderful and amazing your company is. And I would tell my friends that they should all go out and get a small kitchen machine BOSCH for themselves, thus making your small donation to me, a rather largely profitable business move on your end. ;) ;)

I have attached four pictures of myself and Evelyn enjoying our BOSCH in hopes to help you grasp how much we truly do love using it together and hope you realize how devastating it would be for you to deny my plea. (Uh hem, and also to once again, bribe you with cuteness and cleverness. Honestly, how could you turn us down after seeing those?!)

Please consider my attempt to receive a simple donation and let the thought brew deep within the burning of your bosom until you can fight the urge to give in no longer. I think it's pretty obvious how much we adore this little girl. I can't begin to describe how it felt to become a mother or how amazing it is to share her with my greatest love. She is a piece of me and just as much so, a piece of her daddy. We made her. And it was out of pure love. And I don't think there is anything more sacred.

There was once a time when I wasn't sure if I would ever get to bring a child into this world. It was a long, hard time for me. But it was beyond worth it. And I would do it all over again. And I will.

My heart aches for those who want children but can't have them. I'm pained for anyone who is hurting or struggling or fighting to have what I have been so blessed to have. I wish there was more that I could do. But for now, this is all I know how to do. And you can do the same.

On January 6th, Boyd and I flew out to Florida where we spent one night before boarding the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship for a three day cruise to the Bahamas, courtesy of the pest control company Boyd sold for last summer and will be selling for again this summer. I had a lot of anxiety about leaving Evie, but I made it through without any tears (although I had to fight them back really hard on quite a few occasions) and managed to enjoy myself.

Sister Lexi got to come. Our waiter was pretty awesome. Thought he was super funny with the flower on his head.

We were supposed to have two stops but were unable to make our first stop in Cocokay because the water was too choppy. It was a bit unfortunate, but we still had fun in Nassau.

She begged both of us to get braids. After a lot of prodding, Boyd finally gave in. She was hilarious. Every local that saw him after called him Bahama Papa. It was awesome.

It was nice to spend some quality time with Boyd and catch up on sleep. Vacationing is not the same once you have kids though. You never feel quite complete unless you have your entire family with you. I sure was happy to see my girl!

This girl LOVES the tub so much. She jumps and screams when I ask if she wants to take a bath and if she hears the water on, she comes runnin. She'll happily take it with or without bubbles, hot or cold. But it's been a while since I actually gave her a bubble bath so today I generously poured them in. I think she enjoyed herself...I don't know, what do you think??

I use the camera on my phone so often out of convenience that I forget how great my Nikon is. I'm in love with these photos. I think I'm going to blow one up, frame it and hang it in the bathroom...but which one to choose? That is the question.

2010 was quite possibly the one of the hardest years of my life. With that being said, it was also quite possibly one of the best years of my life. Isn't it funny the way that works?

2011...I'm not exactly sure what will come of it. But one thing I do know, is it's going to be even better than the latter.

My motto for this year? Something that was said back in 2008 by one of the leaders of my church,

"Come what may, and love it."

It's a concept I started to grasp recently and it's my goal to carry it forward throughout the year.

Last Thursday we went to town decorating for Christmas.

Obesession confession: EmersonMade

I have a confession to make... I'm am completely obsessed with EmersonMade. It started about a year ago when I first discovered Emerson's blog and it grew when she came out with her clothing line. Okay, maybe obsessed is not the right word to use. It makes me sound like a creepy-stalker-crazed-fan. (Emerson, if you ever happen upon this post, please know I am not a creepy-stalker-crazed-fan, but in fact, just a normal girl whom you would probably get along famously with, if ever given the chance.)

Emerson is an amazingly talented designer who lives the best of both worlds(in my opinion), working from the city (NY) and living in the country(NH). She has impeccable taste from her home(see it here) to her clothing line to the styling of her photo shoots, in which she is the model(and which are mostly done from her very own farm house). To add to all of that, she is beautiful and has a darling figure! And though I have not met her in person, she seems quite charming. You can tell she has a great sense of humor.

She started out selling her hand made flowers, often times, right off of her own lapel and has now evolved into a full blown fashion designer with many vintage nods and references to the 60's and 70's.(And if you know me, you know my two favorite eras are the 40's and 70's.) There is not a single thing in her shop that I do not absolutely love. (And she offers more than flowers and clothes.) Oh, and let's not forget that she is a talented oil painter as well. Gosh can this lady get any better?! (I'll answer my own question, yes! She can.)

She is the perfect duet of classy and quirky.

I could go on and on, but you're just going to have to see what I mean for yourselves.

Did I mention she partners with her adorable husband? And what a great team they make.

She's a girl after my own heart in many aspects.

What a peach.

A few pics from Thanksgiving:

Three years ago, the Worthen sisters started a tradition of getting together the night before Thanksgiving to make pies. I look forward to each year.

Is this crust not just darling?

Every year I make a peach pie from my home canned peaches and every year it gets better. This crumble topping was new this year and in my opinion, absolutely delicious. I ate 70% of this pie myself. That is not a lie.

First time not only making pecan pie, but eating it as well. It was fantastic, if I do say so myself.

I woke up Thanksgiving morning at about 10:15. It was wonderful. Especially since I didn't get home from pie night until about 1 am. These sleepy heads slept until 10:45. (With the exception of a few wake ups starting at 6am.) Gosh I'm grateful for these two.

Foodie Review: Liberty Market

(See sidebar for key)

I really wanted to kick off my Foodie Review feature with a restaurant I was sure no one has tried before, but we haven't had the time to make it out to any of them yet. So, I've chosen one of our favorites that we frequent. I'm sure most of you have tried it before and know of it's deliciousness, but I know there are a few of you out there that haven't. And if you have, try out something new next time you go.

You really can't go wrong at Liberty Market. I've had many of items off the menu and have always been satisfied. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, although I haven't made it there for breakfast yet.

Here are my lunch & dinner suggestions:

First off, I highly recommend getting an Italian Soda from the bar. (Raspberry is delicious.)

Secondly, my favorite entrees include:

The White Pizza(pictured above) and The Salmon BLT.

Boyd never gets anything other than The Best Chicken Sandwich. He swears by it.

And best for last, you must get dessert. As you can see from the above picture, we like just about every single dessert they offer but I'd like to highlight The Pecan Bar, The Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich(perfectly chewy once is thaws a bit) and The Strawberry Cupcake with Cheesecake Frosting(not always available).

Liberty Market not only has great food, but has a great atmosphere as well. It's historic, industrial vibe is so charming.

After we eat, we like to sit by the splash pad outside. It's fun to watch and during the summer it's fun to let the kids play in.

Liberty Market is a few steps down from The Hale Theatre, which would be a great place to go following dinner for a lovely date night. (I'm hoping to see a Christmas Carol next month.)

We took Evie to the Phoenix Zoo for her Birthday and ended up buying season passes.

We've been back two times since then and we love it so much we could go once a week if we had the time.

Did you know you can ride your bikes around the zoo? Awesome right? I can't wait to get a baby seat on my bike(Uh hem, for either my Birthday or Christmas;) so we can take a family stroll as we look at all the animals.

I've always been a lover of animals but going to the zoo has sparked a fascination in me. It's like I can't get enough. There are some pretty amazing creatures out there. My favorites include: The Giraffes(We fed them on Tuesday and it was incredible-those pics are not accessible right now so I'll have to share them another time.) The Elephants(It's on my bucket list to ride an elephant.) The Lions. The Tiger. The Jaguar. And last but not least, the Rhino's. I know you're thinking I just listed every animal at the zoo but trust me, there are so many animals at the zoo!

Our season passes have already paid themselves off and they're so great because we can go and only stay for an hour if we feel like it and not feel bad about wasting money.

I highly recommend a season pass.

I can't wait for The Zoo Lights.

I have decided to start a new regular addition to this blog. It's going to be called Foodie Review. You see, like many of you out there, I have a passion for pleasing my palate. I L❤VE food. I mean, love it. I am a big time Foodie. Great food makes me extremely happy and I like to think of myself as someone who truly knows great food. I love to try new restaurants and new dishes at my regular restaurants.

I don't know about you, but for me, the best way to get me to a new restaurant is a recommendation from a reliable source. And because I know I would appreciate something like this, I am going to offer it to you. Now, since I am living in Arizona, most of my rec's will be from here. However, every once in a while I will be featuring restaurants from around the Nation. (But don't get too excited because I haven't ventured very far from my home state.)

Each post will include an average dollar amount. (See sidebar for key.) My taste in restaurants vary in price range from cheap to expensive, so you will see it all on here. I will also include some must-try dishes and any other highlights that need highlighting.

So if you are in a Foodie slump and need to try something new or if you are an adventurous Foodie like me, this is your place to be!

She loved her costume. She wore it all night without any complaints and kept the beanie on most the night too. (That was the real shocker.)

She wasn't the only one who loved her costume.

I loved seeing her sit in it. She moved around quite well but every so often she would trip. The balloons caught her fall every time.

A Puppy Party for my big 1 year old!!

We had a birthday party for my Evie girl on Saturday. Tomorrow she will turn one. It's pretty bitter sweet for me. I love that my baby is growing healthy and strong every day but I can't help but want her to stay little for a bit longer.

We had a great time with family and friends and of course, Dotty.

Dotty is the main reason for our puppy themed party. She is Evie's favorite toy. Evie loves this little stuffed dog so much. She pretty much picked her out on her own and hasn't stopped loving her since that day in Anthropologie about three months ago. I had to splurge and buy the $25 stuffed animal because the pure joy it brought her was priceless.

We had Evie's party at Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert. (If you haven't been, you must go! It's a great park for both people and dogs.) Evie loves her big brother, Big Boy, so we wanted to include him in the fun. Besides that, the park was the perfect location to accommodate us all.

After I had the pup cake finished and sitting in the fridge, Boyd decided she needed a collar and tag. I thought it was the perfect finishing touch.

We're busy, busy over here trying to get ready for the Princess' first birthday party. Yes, can you believe I have a nearly 1-year-old?! It just blows my mind. When I thought about her digging into her cake tomorrow, these pictures came to mind from about three months ago.

She had gotten into the trash can (which had a lid) and pulled out a day old plate of cake and went to town.

This girl knows what she wants and always finds a way to get it! I love her more than I ever knew I could. (And I knew I could love A LOT!)

PS. Don't mind Boyd in his tank...He was getting ready to head to the pool.

After reading NieNie's post today, I just had to hunt for an old Halloween pic of our baby before we had a baby.

This was my make-shift clown costume from 2 years ago.

It's crazy how much things can change in 2 years. Big Boy used to be like our child. Halloween is going to be so much fun this year with a real child to dress up and take trick-or-treating. But we still love this Lug!

Hey, I miss that rug under the sink. What happened to it?.. Oh yeah, Pearla chewed it up. That little oinker!

The shirt I am wearing is my default shirt. I wear it all the time and it is so comfy. It is a vintage Wrangler shirt I picked up a few years ago at a Goodwill in CA. I originally bought it for Boyd but it ended up being too small so I claimed it as my own. It is so old and worn and super thin so I can get away with wearing it during the summer. Then this summer in Texas I was thrifting and came across this little boys flannel and had to get it because it reminded me so much of my own. Even the buttons are the same. I love my mini me.

Ps. What is the cut off age for matching your mom? Evie might like to know.

To All My Home People,

My Mac quit working a few days before we left Texas. And just today our other computer decided to freeze up. Needless to say, I will unfortunately have to cancel WAYWW once again. My sincerest apologies. I'm in the middle of organizing and rearranging my house right now anyway so I'm not in any place to be looking cute. But hey, maybe once I'm done and at least one of my computers is up and running I'll post some pics of the place. And cross your fingers for me that I will be on top of my WAYWW game from here on out!
